Chronic stress, early developmental wounds, and attachment
trauma can leave deep traces in the nervous system — shaping
how we connect with ourselves and the world around us.
Together, we work to cultivate awareness, regulation, and a
renewed sense of safety and aliveness.
I offer counselling and psychotherapy under the German
Heilpraktikergesetz (Healing Practitioners Act).
You can find me on both sides of the Rhine – in
Cologne-Ehrenfeld and Cologne-Rath.
Before I established my practice in Cologne, I supported
professionals working with survivors of violence in crisis
regions. I trained and advised them so that they could feel —
and pass on — a sense of safety, self-efficacy, and connection
in their work.
My time as a trauma work consultant for organizations in Iraq and Afghanistan had a particularly profound impact on me. After the Taliban took power in 2021, I took on the psychological care of Afghan local staff. During this intense period, while women and their families in Kabul awaited evacuation, it became clear to me where my place is: with people who need support and stability — in acute crises, in moments of loneliness and despair, and on their journey back to life.
You don’t have to travel far to encounter such experiences.
Conflict and trauma exist everywhere — even within families and
among people from whom no one would suspect it. Unlike shock
trauma, these stories rarely make the headlines; more often
than not, the suffering remains invisible.
Today, my focus is on supporting people in navigating difficult
life situations, coping with chronic stress, and healing from
developmental and attachment-related trauma.
